Italian Knife Fencing is dedicated to the study, preservation, and transmission of traditional Italian knife and stick fighting arts.
Through direct teaching, historical research, seminars, and instructor development, the project aims to preserve living traditions that have been passed down through generations.
The Italian tradition of armed combat is a vast heritage, developed in different regions and environments, where the knife and the stick played an important role in martial culture.
Today, these traditions continue to live through dedicated practitioners who study their methods, principles, and applications.
A Living Martial Tradition
Italian Knife Fencing is not a modern invention or a reconstruction created only from historical documents.
It is based on living traditions transmitted through direct teacher-to-student relationships.
The project represents the work of Master Remigio Pianu, student of Master Raffaele Irmino and representative of traditional Italian knife fighting teachings.
Through training, seminars, and educational programs, Italian Knife Fencing provides access to these arts for practitioners from around the world.
